This site is designed for all those who love hockey and know that one can't play the game or watch it 7/24. READING is another wonderful recreation, and reading about hockey will open your mind to all kinds of knowledge about people and places as well as the game. Play hard; read smart! You're encourage to post comments on items that you have read.

Please note that HIP is a work-in-progress. Suggestions and corrections are welcome. Just pass your information (author, title, place, publisher, year, page numbers if applicable) to me, and I'll get it on the NET, so to speak. dmcneil@dal.ca.

To search for specific titles or articles, click on the SEARCH link on the the left.

To obtain any of the titles you find, I suggest that you first try your local library, which probably has its catalog online. If you don't find the book or journal or newspaper there, then they can probably tell you how you could get it.

If you want to purchase a title, you'd probably be best to consult an online service like FetchBook, which compares prices of old and new from some 62 stores, or Chapters, or AMAZON. You may even feel like getting out to an actual bookstore to inspect the merchandise physically. It's often worth calling a used bookstore in your area for specific titles, especially those that are out-of-print. Remember, there are always hockey merchandise/memorabilia dealers, many of whom sell books (see link left). Should all else fail, there's always E-bay!
